Hailstorm Damages North Texas Homes & Vehicles

SEVERE HAILSTORM CAUSES EXTREME DAMAGE TO NORTH TEXAS HOMES AND VEHICLES

On April 6th, Texas experienced a strong cold front which brought severe storms to North Texas. According to NBC5 meteorologist Rick Mitchell, the evening’s cold front brought a 40-degree drop in temperature.

Celina and other parts of Denton County experienced strong winds, heavy rain, and large hail during the storm. Residents of Allen and Plano, Texas reported tennis-ball size hail, and homeowners throughout North Texas suffered severe hail damage to roofs, skylights and vehicles. Dallas County and Rockwall County were also impacted by the storm, and Collin County was under a tornado warning due to the storm’s severity.

Felisha Greer told CBS Local “I thought I was in a horror movie there for a minute,” regarding the terrifying hail that caused damage to her trees, crushed her car windows, and crashed into her home.

No injuries were reported during the Texas hail storm, but there are sure to be numerous insurance claims for extreme hail damage.
