THE POTTS LAW FIRM REPRESENTS EMPLOYEE AGAINST THE TEXAS RURAL WATER ASSOCIATION FOR UNPAID WAGES
Texas Rural Water Association assistance specialist, Steven Mindt, is being represented by Timothy Micah Dortch and Maryssa J. Simpson of Potts Law Firm LLP in Dallas, Texas. On March 27, 2018, Steven Mindt filed a complaint individually and on behalf of others in similar situations against the Texas Rural Water Association, alleging the employer violated employee rights under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The class action lawsuit was filed by Mindt in the Tyler office of the Texas Eastern District Court in Smith county.
According to the complaint, Mr. Mindt is owed unpaid wages for hours worked in 2017. Mindt claims he repeatedly worked 44.3-hour work weeks for the Texas Rural Water Association without receiving overtime for the time exceeding 40 hours per week. Steven Mindt alleges the defendants intentionally failed to compensate him the federal minimum wage for all hours worked and failed to provide overtime compensation as well.
Mr. Mindt is asking for a trial by jury and seeks an order certifying this case as a collective action. He’s also seeking an award for unpaid wages, liquidated damages, attorney’s fees and expenses, and all other just and appropriate relief.
