Toyota Recalls 3.4 Million Vehicles

TOYOTA RECALLS 3.4 MILLION VEHICLES DUE TO AIRBAGS ISSUES
Toyota is recalling 3.4 million vehicles worldwide due to an electronic defect. This defect can result in air bags not deploying in crashes. This includes 2.9 million vehicles in the United States.

The company says vehicles may have an electronic control unit that does not have adequate protection from electrical noise in a crash. Which can in turn affect the deployment of the air bags.

In the event of a crash, the lack of protection from electrical noise could lead to incomplete or non-deployment of the air bags. Or even impede the operation of seat-belt pretensioners.

Toyota has said they will notify owners of the recall by mid-March.
