FORD FUSION AND LINCOLN MKZ SEDAN STEERING WHEEL BOLTS LEAD TO 1.4 MILLION VEHICLE RECALLS
According to CNBC, Ford has recently recalled nearly 1.4 million midsize cars in North America. Ford car manufacturers are saying the recall was made due to certain Ford vehicles because the steering wheel bolts are loosening over time, which is causing the steering wheel to come off in some cases. Ford has recalled some 2014 through 2018 Ford Fusions and Lincoln MKZ sedans. Ford is aware of at least two crashes and one injury that may have been a result of the recalled steering wheel bolt. To alleviate this issue, dealers are making steps toward replacing the current bolts with longer versions in order to prevent future accidents.
